Detailed Call Description
DIH-World is looking for innovative experiments across Europe that integrate digital technologies in the processes, products or services of manufacturing SMEs. Innovative experiments are projects to be implemented by a consortium made of an SME and a Digital Innovation Hub (DIH). The selected innovative technology experiments will be joining the DIH-World community, boosting the interaction and cross border cooperation among DIHs and SMEs, and also among DIHs from the European Network.
This second open call addresses any manufacturing sector, with special focus on: Textile, Logistics, Mobility, Rubber and Plastic Products and Electrical and Optical Equipment.
The innovative experiments are open to any of the following technologies, as far as they contribute to boost the digitalisation level of the participating SMEs: Smart modelling, Robotics, Internet of Things, Cyber Physical Systems, 3D Printing, Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud technologies, High Performance Computing, Laser technologies, Cognitive Autonomous Systems, Human-robot interaction, Cybersecurity and Sensors.
Financing percentage by EU or other bodies / Level of Subsidy or Loan
The maximum amount to be granted per experiment will be €95,000. A total of 20 SME-driven experiments are expected to be granted. All Third parties have a maximum limit of € 100,000 to be received as Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) in Smart Anything Everywhere (SAE) and ICT innovation for Manufacturing SMEs (I4MS) initiatives.
The maximum financial support for the DIHs is up to 30% of the total requested financial support per experiment. For instance, in the case of a requested amount of €95 000 00 the maximum amount for the DIH would be € 28,500.
According to Horizon 2020, the funding rate applicability for the selected SMEs or for-profit entities will be 70% of eligible costs, for non-profit organisations it will be 100% of eligible costs.
Eligibility For Participation Notes
The DIH-World open call target consortia of one SME from any Member State or Horizon 2020 Associated country together with one Digital Innovation Hub (DIHs). SMEs and DIHs can only be selected once to carry out a DIH-World experiment to ensure the gradual widening of the network.
