Development of pest survey cards for Union quarantine pests

Detailed Call Description

In particular, EFSA wishes to conclude four grant agreements with partner organisations for preparing pest survey cards for Union quarantine pests not known to occur in the Union territory, as listed in the following 4 lots:

  • Lot 1: Development of pest survey cards for Union quarantine pests of the group of Non-EU Acleris spp – EUBA-EFSA-PLANTS-2023-07-01;
  • Lot 2: Development of pest survey cards for Union quarantine pests of the group of Non-EU cicadomorpha – EUBA-EFSA-PLANTS-2023-07-02;

  • Lot 4: Development of pest survey cards for Union quarantine pests of the group of non-EU Begomoviruses and their vector Bemisia tabaci – EUBA-EFSA-PLANTS-2023-07-04.

The organisations applying for this call must indicate precisely in their proposal for which Lot(s) they are applying. Organisations can apply for one or more Lots. In case the organisation submits proposals for more than one lot, the proposals should be submitted as independent proposal in order to allow independent evaluation of the proposal for each Lot.

Financing percentage by EU or other bodies / Level of Subsidy or Loan

One direct grant agreement will be signed for each separate Lot.

EFSA intends to fund one proposal per Lot.

The present call comes with an innovative and simplified grant management, where the grant amounts paid to the partner are based on the pre-defined sums which are not linked to the actual costs of the action. This means there is no need for co-financing from the partner, and no need for completion of estimated budgets or timesheets to record the work.

Eligibility For Participation Notes

Applications made by consortium in which partners are not on the Article 36 list will be excluded. In this regard, the University of Thessaly, the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology and the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, are included in the list.

The proposals can be submitted by one eligible organisation or by a consortium of eligible organisations.
