Call
Detailed Call Description
The priorities of the call are:
- the 2024 European Parliament elections, which are central to strengthening and nurturing democracy in the EU;
- exploring how the COVID-19 crisis has affected the democratic debate and the enjoyment of fundamental rights;
- innovative democratic approaches and tools to help citizens make their voices heard and publicly exchange views on all areas of EU action, notably digital tools (“e-democracy”);
- countering disinformation and other forms of interference in the democratic debate;
- engaging citizens and communities in discussions and action related to our climate and environment.
Activities may include, among others: debates, campaigns, awareness- rising activities, conferences, workshops, data gathering and consultation, the use of social networks, webinars and media literacy and promoting exchanges between EU citizens on EU-related topics to foster a better understanding of different perspectives.
Financing percentage by EU or other bodies / Level of Subsidy or Loan
There is no limit as to the maximum grant amount. The grant will be a lump sum grant. The lump sum calculation is based on two parameters: (1) number of direct participants; (2) number of eligible countries per event (in situ or online).
Eligibility For Participation Notes
In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must be legal entities (public or private bodies) established in EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs)) or listed EEA countries and countries associated to the CERV Programme (associated countries) or countries which are in ongoing negotiations for an association agreement and where the agreement enters into force before grant signature.
Consortium composition Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least 3 applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities), which complies with the minimum 3 entities from 3 different eligible countries.
