The prerogatives budget lines managed by the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion deal with social dialogue, labour mobility as well as analysis of the social situation, demographics and the family.

Detailed Call Description

Actions that address the following themes will be particularly welcome:

  • modernisation of the labour market, job creation and youth employment, employment in SMEs;
  • new forms of work and platform work;
  • quality of work, health and safety at work, anticipation, preparation and management of change and restructuring;
  • the climate neutral and digital transitions;
  • skills development including re- and upskilling; skills intelligence;
  • intra-EU labour mobility, migration;
  • reconciliation of work and family life, gender equality, action in the field of anti-discrimination, active ageing, healthier and longer working lives, active inclusion and decent working conditions, modernisation of social protection systems;
  • tackling the employment, social and economic consequences of the COVID-19 crisis, and the particular role of workers’ organisations / social partners, in this respect.

 Particular emphasis is put on strengthening collective bargaining, including on minimum wage, and the involvement of social partners in the European Semester and enhancing their contribution to EU policy making.

 The types of activities which may be funded under this call for proposals include: conferences, seminars, round tables, studies, surveys, publications, training courses, development of training tools, the setting up of networks and the development and exchange of best practices. Activities funded under this call for proposals should pay adequate attention to gender equality and avoid discrimination. Access for people with disabilities shall be guaranteed.

Financing percentage by EU or other bodies / Level of Subsidy or Loan

90%

A project’s budget is expected to range between € 150,000 and € 500,000.

Eligibility For Participation Notes

In order to be eligible, the applicants must be legal entities (public or private bodies) established in an EU Member State or EU Candidate countries (Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey). 

 Single applicants must be must be a social partner organisation representing workers at European, national or regional level.

 In case of consortia, the coordinator must be a social partner organisation representing workers at European, national or regional level. If the coordinator is not a social partner organisation at European level, the consortium must foresee at least (1) one organisation from a different eligible country to that of the coordinator and (2) a European-level social partner organisation.

 Other beneficiaries, affiliated entities and associate organisations must fall within one of the following categories: social partners, non-profit-making organisations, universities and research institutes, public authorities, international organisations.
