Detailed Call Description
The following projects will be supported:
studies and / or works aiming at facilitating traffic flows for all land and waterborne transport modes at border controls areas at the Union external border of the TEN-T network in accordance with Article 9(2)(b)(x) of the CEF Regulation. The supported projects, targeting only the transport infrastructure, will inter alia improve the connections to the border crossing points, and parking lines and spaces related to the border control. Where relevant, coordination with relevant Interreg IPA-CBC programmes should be ensured by the applicants.
Financing percentage by EU or other bodies / Level of Subsidy or Loan
- maximum 50% for the costs of studies
- maximum 30% for the costs of works for proposals related to ‘improving transport infrastructure resilience’,
- maximum 50% for the cost of works for proposals related to ‘safe and secure parking infrastructure’ and ‘adapting the transport infrastructure for Union external border checks purposes’,
- maximum 70% for the costs of works in outermost regions.
Eligibility For Participation Notes
In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:
- be legal entities (public or private bodies)
- be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
- EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs)
- third countries associated to the CEF
